The Full Story
Imani & Co. Living was born out of both personal connection and professional calling. I moved to North Carolina to further pursue my nursing career, carrying with me a passion for care, healing, and service. But as I settled into my new home, I couldn’t ignore what was happening around me — the growing number of people without access to stable, dignified housing.
As a nurse, I’ve seen firsthand how housing impacts health, hope, and human dignity. I’ve worked with individuals who were not just medically vulnerable, but systemically forgotten. I knew I had to do more — beyond the bedside. That’s when I felt a deeper calling: to create spaces that could offer not just shelter, but stability, restoration, and care.
This mission became even more personal because of my sister, a young veteran. Watching her navigate life after service, and seeing how many other veterans struggle to find housing, brought clarity to the vision: safe, supportive living shouldn’t be a privilege — it should be a right.
Imani & Co. Living exists to bridge that gap. We transform houses into homes for the underserved — from veterans to traveling workers, seniors, and individuals facing housing insecurity. We believe healing happens in safe spaces — and that’s what we’re here to create.
